Dr. Karen E. Peterson, a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) since 1988, is a licensed psychologist with two offices in the greater Phoenix area: Tempe and Carefree, AZ.
After completing an APA-approved predoctoral internship at Ohio State University's Counseling and Consultation Service in 1986, Karen attained her Ph.D. from the APA-approved Counseling Psychology
Department at Ohio State University in 1987. Licensed as a psychologist since 1988, Karen has been in private practice since 1989. She is also a member of APA's Division 46--Media Psychology, as well as a member of APA's Division 10--Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts.

and community audiences. She has served on fiction-writing panels with authors such as Dick Francis; has been a featured speaker in
motivational programs with authors such as Ellen Goodman and Stephanie Powers; and has conducted workshops for the Key West Literary
Seminar (Writer's Block), the Rocky Mountain Book Festival (Panel: Writing the Memoir), and the National Writers Association (Fiction Writing and the Self).
